I installed it once a while ago, and didn't really like it - the battle grind was a real issue. The mod aims for a longer more realistic experience. It wrapped my lines at least two or three times by quick flanking. The battle AI, in its turn, does try to flank almost always in my experience. Movements, declaration of wars and usage of other diplomatic options seem more reasonable in campaign. But, I have to say, I have seen AI do some cool things (perhaps have to do with all those game parameters modified by the mod which gives the AI more options) both in campaign and in battle. Breaking point was a bridge battle with 20v20 army. After 60 mins the battle ended and there was still no winner) although I recognize it's a well-made mod and I know a lot of people like it. I tried DEI and did not like it's battle system (too slow, too much emphasis on flanking meaning I was just raking in heroic victories all the time because AI does not flank. I really like Vanilla Rome 2 balance so I run with a whole bunch of smaller mods and I love the game that way. Whether or not you enjoy it is difficult to say. Completely overhauls rosters and game balance and such. 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia.844 A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai.
